Here's an idea....

What if: they introduce the occasional Inscribable drop in Tyria and Cantha. So, basically you'd still have a chance of picking up a 15^50 sephis axe (like it is atm), but you might also get a sephis axe with an inscription slot.

I don't mind ppl telling me my ideas suck... so feel free to do that if you think it does

I will second this! My Elementalist wants that 15k Tyrian Geomancer set!

I won't buy anything without an inscription slot anymore.

It's retarded that ALL armors didn't get insignias retroactively, even if it was only for accounts with NF. It's not like you can trade armor.
Quoted for my troofs.

We need inscribable armor sets for each campaign pronto. Nightfall has been out for awhile, it's losing its buying incentive anyways.

No thanks.

I prefer things to stay as they are. Inscriptions should be an aspect of NF, I feel that they shouldn't have even made it to HoH.

no, armor can be changed, but drops not.
why? itll only increase the gap between rich and poor. right now u still have the chance of getting a req7 something, if its all inscribable, collectors will keep their req7 items, and poorer players will lose another chance to make some cash.

that being said, i dont like inscribables that much :P

Seems like true collectors would be ecstatic. Sure, people could create 'perfect' Tyrian/Canthan items, but since the only way to implement it would be for new drops only and via inscription NPC for old items, the originals would become more rare with time. Got a perfect, uninscriibed <whatever>? Rejoice. It'll never drop again. Ever.

I kinda feel like I would rather they spent their time on developing new stuff, rather than retrofitting the first two campaigns. For example, if it's a choice between inscriptions everywhere and continued evolution of the trade system, I'd choose the latter.

As far as insignias go, I've got 1 set of 15k from Prophecies that I'd like to monkey around with. It would definitely be cool, since there are some great skins in the original that deserve the boost in popularity they would get.

This would be a great change. To upgrade old armors, just have the armor NPC have a new tab that allows you to trade in your old armor for new and improved armor. If for some reason you don't like insignias... don't trade the armor in. Same for weapons I guess.

Getting a low req with the right spec items in Cantha and Tyria seems like winning a lottery tickets.I think only people who daydream about getting a pile of cash still support non-inscribable systems.

Not signed.

I haven't seen the inscriptions yet that would convert inscribable weapons into the weapons of my choice. But I can go to collector-npc's and get the weapons of my choice. I do not see an improvement in loosing that ability.

How is hoping to find the gold with the maxed inscription you need not a lottery? Inscriptions don't change that aspect of the game.

As long as I can not buy these inscriptions, I don't look at them, or inscribable weapons.

You can change it from crap to perfect with an inscription. If you see a req 7 gold Brute Sword drop and it turns out to bve 12>50%, then you're screwed. If it was dropped in Elona, it's inscribable and you can change it from mediocre to grand.

I'm immensely in favor of this... I don't tend to run around in the first two campaigns mostly because the items and armors aren't inscribable. People bring their inscribable items into Prophecies and Factions anyhow, so why not?

Leave existing items/armors as they are, make all future ones inscribable.

I don't think it's that hard for A-Net to move the existing inscription system into Tyria and Cantha? I mean all they have to do is get that coding for the inscription system and put on all the existing items on both worlds right?

I couldn't give a toss less about the armour sets. It is totally unnecessary in Cantha since there is a full selection of types for every armour set... and as for Tyria... well... that could do with being upgraded to the Canthan system, but having insignias is just a little pointless.

Weapons though...
... Definitely.
We need inscribable weapons in all three campaigns.

I'll put it this way: Other people are all going whoopy crazy over Nightfall golds.... Dead Swords and Colossal Scimitars are being farmed to death right now. I couldn't care less about those.... What I'm after are Celestial Weapons. Ideally, at least for the swords and axes... I'd like them to be 15^50 ... not for selling... but for my own personal use. The odds of my getting weapons (at least one of each type, staves and wands aside) meeting those criteria? Very low ... Ridiculously low. Having inscriptions available on such weapons could seriously cut down the grind-factor involved.... because that is what it comes to now: I'm grinding for those weapons.

Inscriptions are nice i agree and would love to see them on tyrian and canthan items and so on but part of the issue is you are letting people who don't have Nightfall get something for free which others paid for when they bought NF. Inscriptions are a NF exclusive and I don't believe weapons and armor in GW:EN will be inscribable either.

I sincerely doubt changing drops in an existing area would be as simple as "copy and paste", but I wouldn't mind an update making the weapons and armor from various continents consistent. I think the NF system is the best one, so updating the others to that wouldn't be kind of nice in my opinion.

Agree Agree Agree

Anet you goto make this happen, so many cool looking armour peices from catha and tyria but just cant really use them beacuse the stats just are not functional in todays game apart from specific circumstances.

Make it happen!!!!!!!!!!

I don't mind the weapons so much even though it would be nice. But armors DEFINATELY as in NEED insignias for all campaigns.

I don't want insignias for Tyria and Cantha as I can buy the exact armor there that I want. No need to buy Radiant insignias, Sentinel insignias, Bloodstanined Insignias, etc.

Inscriptable weapons would be nice but that will make the value of Tyrian/Canthan items even less than they already are.

The only thing that's really unfair about NF armor is the Headpieces have added bonuses that the Canthan/Tyrian headpieces have no way of attaining. This should be fixed!

I'd rather they gave us the options of the new Canthan armours and Nightfall insignia's on the Canthan/Tyrian armours.
